This is based on the research of Dr. Jaak Panksepp of Bowling Green University, who studies the psychobiology of laughter and came to our attention via a great little radio show called radiolab broadcast on many NPR affiate stations across the country.

I have been to Bowling Green, Ohio many times and and I've always know that school has the largest lab rat colony in the USA, but I never could figuire out the eerie noise I'd occassionally hear late at night crossing the campus.
