Before and after Jerry Reed, who passed away Sunday, made a living parodying himself in B-movies and sitcoms, he wrote many, many songs for the guitar. Chet Atkins, the smoothest picker this side of Les Paul, made a name for himself picking Jerry Reed tunes. Here's Chet on the melody and Reed on rhythm in this clip from Nashville 99 in a Reed-penned tune called Baby's Coming.
